ABA rounds

ABA Field Archery rounds:
The ABA Animal Round:
This is a 20 target “Australian” animal round with 4 targets from each of the 5 target groups. A round consists of 2 rounds of 20 targets. First round being a 3 arrow round and the second being a 1 arrow round. With a maximum of 20 points on each target and a two round total of 800 points.

There are three different colored shooting pegs.
Yellow- Cubs up to 13 years
Green – Juniors 13 to 17 yrs
Red – Adults 17 onwards.

Targets consist of five groups With different unmarked distances which are;
Group 1. 5.6 m to 8.4 m
Group 2. 12m to 18m
Group 3. 16m to 24m
Group 4. 24m to 36m
Group 5. 32m to 48m.

Scoring:
1st arrow: A zone -20, B zone – 18, C zone — 16.
2nd Arrow: A —14, B — 12, C-10.
3rd Arrow: A — 8, B — 6, C — 4.

The distances on an ABA round are unmarked.
